| | Most Online Casino Sites Continue As Usual
Just weeks after the legislation of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, it seems now that most online casino companies continue their work as usual. Whilst public companies may not have the same flexibility, most of the private companies don't seem too bothered by the latest bill, claiming they will continue to accept bets from US citizens. One of those companies commented in its press release about the situation: "We will not stop any of our US customers. The bill doesn't make it illegal to bet on any online casino sites, so will continue as usual".
Many of the online poker rooms responded as well to the anti online casino legislation in their latest public releases. "We are deeply saddened by these potential regulations, and we are currently determining if it will affect our customers. Right now we are still studying the legislation and we will disclose our comments when we finish doing so. Nevertheless, we are sure that in the near future our customers' online gambling experience won't be hurt, as everyone will be able to deposit or withdraw their money without any problem. It's important for us to highlight the fact that the bill won't criminalize individuals for playing at any online casino site, including poker rooms".
In its statement, the company added that although they can't predict what will happen in the future, right now there shouldn't be any problem, as the bank have received 270 days to examine the bill before starting to implement the regulation over online casino web sites. Press released like the last one are a common thing these days in the online casino industry, but the question is how will they look like 270 days from now.
